Shimano has entered a four-year partnership with UAE Team Emirates and UAE Team ADQ, becoming the leading materials provider for both teams starting in 2025. This collaboration introduces Shimano’s cutting-edge DURA-ACE Di2 wireless groupset, offering lightning-fast shifting and precise braking for elite-level cycling competition.
UAE Team Emirates, a dominant force since 2017, has seen major successes, including Tadej Pogacar’s Tour de France victories. UAE Team ADQ, established in 2021, continues to grow in women’s cycling, now boosted by top rider Elisa Longo Borghini.
Mauro Gianetti, Team Principal of UAE Team Emirates, said, “We’re excited to partner with Shimano to continue achieving great things.” Melissa Moncada, President of UAE Team ADQ, added, “This partnership will help us reach new heights in women’s cycling.” Yuzo Shimano, Executive Officer at Shimano, emphasized, “Our long-term partnership with UAE Team Emirates is about more than just equipment. It’s a commitment to driving technological innovation and advancing performance in cycling.”
Shimano’s Di2 electronic gear shifting integration and advanced braking technologies have already played a pivotal role in the team’s most memorable races over the last several seasons, including over 80 wins, across Grand Tours, One-Day Classics and many other General Classification races in 2024.
